The Toyoko Inn Shinjuku Kabukicho was my home in Tokyo for an unforgettable week, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. From the impeccable service to the thoughtful amenities, this hotel truly exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff is outstandingly friendly, and I was particularly impressed by their use of iPad translators, ensuring that every question or request was accurately and promptly addressed. It’s clear they go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable and welcome. The rooms, while cozy, are exceptionally well-designed for convenience. I managed to comfortably store two large suitcases, thanks to clever features like storage space under the bed. I also loved that the windows open, allowing for fresh air—a rare feature in many city hotels. The heater and air conditioner worked perfectly, providing personalized temperature control, which was a huge plus for me. Despite its compact size, the bathroom was a highlight of my stay. I indulged in warm, soothing baths every night—a luxurious treat after exploring Tokyo’s bustling streets. While the beds are on the firmer side, I still slept incredibly well, waking up refreshed and ready to explore. The wireless internet was superb, easily handling my Zoom meetings without a hitch, which is a major bonus for business travelers. But what truly sets this hotel apart is its unbeatable location. Nestled in the heart of Shinjuku, it provides easy access to all the excitement, from vibrant nightlife to incredible dining options. And yet, the hotel itself offers a peaceful retreat from the city’s energy. Staying in Shinjuku can often be pricey, but the Toyoko Inn offers fantastic value for money without compromising on quality. An added bonus? The complimentary Japanese breakfast—a delightful start to the day with fresh, authentic flavors. I also appreciated the hotel’s sustainability efforts, with their eco-cleaning options and efficient amenities. Whether you’re visiting Tokyo for business or lei

The room is pretty spacious for Japanese hotel standards, I was able to open my two big luggages and with still enough space to walk around the room. The price point is also very affordable, considering the location in Shinjuku and the season (sakura season). It is located within walking distance of both Higashi-Shinjuku station and Okubo station, both of which are central to connecting to different parts of Tokyo. I would definitely recommend this hotel as good value for money if you want to stay around Shinjuku

Most affordable accommodation at a prime location. Room and bed is bigger than expected. Rare accommodation which includes breakfast without any addition of price. Breakfast area quite small so sometimes need to wait for a place but generally, people come and go very fast. Don't have room cleaning service but everyday, they will hang new clean towels outside the room door. Taxi to Shinjuku Bus Station cost 900 yen if don't want to walk 20 minutes with luggage.

Great location, walking distance to Kabukicho night life area, but the hotel is still in a safe, quiet street. Also walking distance to Okubo Korean town with lots of food and shopping options. The rooms are small but good enough as we go out most of the time and only use the room for night sleep. Nice hot breakfast options with mix of both Japanese style (miso soup, rice ball, grilled fish) and Western style (croissant bread & butter, omelets, salad)

The location was only a few minutes walk from Golden Gai, so it was very conveniently located for Kabukicho while also being far enough away that we weren't bothered by the noise of night life. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, there were several convenience stores in the doorstep, and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again!
